Anyone have instructions for a Mothercare combination car seat?

Just fished dd's old car seat out of the attic for ds2, bbut I cannot find the fitting instructions. It is suitable from birth, but not one of the infant carriers - it starts off rear-facing then can be turned round. It must be about 5 years old so if anyone has some old instructions or knows how to fit it rear facing - I have a vague idea how, but want to be certain.

I have a mothercare car seat (looks like the britax first class one but its the mothercare make - is this the one you mean?

If so:

the seatbelt extends out and goes between the fabric on the back and the unit - like strapping it on yourself so the top end is on the top and the bottom end is at the waist, then it simply clips into the belt clip, sitting in the seat and clipping both pieces of belt together to make a taut hold with the red clip.

Is this what you mean?

if i were you id have a look at a few old which reports... (avaliable in libraries)

until this year (2006) i dont think they have ever made a car seat that was even 'safe', and many were actually quite dangerouse and actuyally not recommended

A few years ago (about 5 ish i GUESS) the mothercare daytona was SOOOOO bad it would have actually killed any baby unlucky enough to be strapped into it in a crash. It was so bad it is the ONLY thing in the history of the which magazine to score 0!

hillary - thanks, sounds like the same one...are you describing how it fits forward facing? I need it rear facing

NannyL - I hope it isn't the seat you mention! We will be getting a new car seat soon - ds2 is just at the weight limit for his infant carrier and we would quite like to get him to 9 months before buying a new seat.
