I have those only the thin version. They are good - but they are now residing in the wardrobe in favour of GHDs !!! Seriously, they are a league apart

Depends how straight your hair is intially with these straighteners. I have very curly hair & didn't get on with em at all. I use babyliss pro 230 but they can't be used on wet hair

crispyduck · 28/02/2007 20:35

don't bother they are shite, invest in GHDs

Whizzz · 28/02/2007 20:35

(they did dry & straighten well, but my hair didn't stay straight for long - but it is naturally quite wavy)

softmusk · 28/02/2007 20:41

can u use ghd's on wet hair
and is one pair of ghds very much like the other or are there ones that are a lot better than others

I dry my hair with a dryer (or leave to dry naturally) & then finish off with GHDs

mistressmiggins · 28/02/2007 20:44

another GHD fan here - well worth the money

missnatalie · 28/02/2007 20:51

GHDs are the way to go. There the best ive ever had. I love mine

crispyduck · 28/02/2007 20:53

I really wouldn't use wet to dry, the penatration of prolonged heat is no good for the hair shaft, it causes the cuticle to explode...sorry about being technical but I learnt all this in college...suitable heat protectors should be used on the hair, sprays and lotions..tevor sorbie do a great one..

MrsSpoon · 28/02/2007 20:55

Definately go for GHDs, look around on the net you'll get a set (albeit perhaps not the very latest model) for not much more than those ones are.

TinyGang · 28/02/2007 20:58

Everyone on here advised me to buy GHD's when I asked a few months ago...they are fab it's true

Scootergirl · 28/02/2007 20:59

Another vote for GHDs - just let your hair dry naturally til its almost dry then zap away with the GHDs. They're amazing!

wheresthehamster · 28/02/2007 21:11

GHDs - the best £80 I've ever spent.
From Sideshow Bob to Janet Street-Porter in 60 seconds.
