Help- how do you cook tofu?

Grateful for advice on how to cook tofu. Somebody said to fry it but, since I am the world's worst cook, I'd like a bit more detail - how long do you fry it for and with what? vegetable oil? Will frying take out the goodness? would it be better to boil it?! I was planning to use the tofu for the protein part of the meal for ds and then add potato or rice to it plus a couple of vegetables. Does that make sense? would you fry it all together? help! PS I'm still doing the icecube thing so could I freeze any meal that I made?

Grateful for all help. As you'll see, we're at first base here! Thanks

I fed Quorn to DS1 quite a lot when he was a baby - he is robustly healthy! I did hear somwhere that the negative research on it was carried and and/or sponsored by some big meat retailers and producers which may account for the scariness of their results. Don't have any links or anything for this I'm afraid but just something else to throw in the pot (if you'll excuse the pun )

I heard that Quorn was 'discovered' when growing at the bottom of the big oil storage tanks at ICI. Not sure how true this is but it was by a Zeneca (used to be part of ICI) employee.

I'm not vegie but dp is, so we eat quite a lot of meat substitutes. Have to say that I'm not that keen on Quorn at all, it just seems a bit fake to me, don't know why, I much prefer tofu (Cauldron do a nice marinated version). dp likes Quorn though, so I buy it for him & eat meat guilt-free....
