a wheelybug

Save your money she wont notice

Take her somewhere memorable get lots of pics and video of the day. Choose a small gift for the day.

I took my ds to The Savoy for afternoon tea, he loved the cucumber sandwiches and they made a birthday cake for him for a reasonable fee and then I requested ds favourite song from the pianist.

The whole restaurant sang happy birthday to him and I remember it like it was yesterday.

Oh absolutely a wheelybug - dd had one for Christmas and she LOVES it - never stops whizzing 'round the house with it

you can't go wrong with a ball. Really. A light bouncy ball with a favourite character on it. One year olds love balls. You'll have change left over for something else too

WideWebWitch · 17/02/2007 20:15

Champagne for you, nothing for them.

Lio · 17/02/2007 20:19

I got ds nothing and he didn't notice

suejonez · 17/02/2007 20:21

I got DS a pair of shoes and a Kazakh/Russian/English dictionary. My mum bought him a train from a charity shop but his favorite present was his musical birthday card from my mum. He loved it.

That's all he got in total.

Any kind of ride on will go down well

Wheeliebugs are great, we've just got a wooden trike type one which has been well loved.

puffling · 17/02/2007 22:39

Cheers again.

We're going to get ds some garden toys like a mini slide and a little swing. Think he might like one of those pop up tunnels too as he spends all his time weaving his way in and out of the dining room chair legs

colditz · 18/02/2007 11:52

Something she needs or something you like. And a ball.

cupcakes · 18/02/2007 12:00

we got ds a bee wheelybug for his first birthday. he still squeezes on it now (he's six and a half..)

UniSarah · 18/02/2007 18:57

We are getting buggy wheels for DCs bike trailer. DC will benifit from them. But will enjoy playing with the box and newspaper I'll pack them in more. Have surgested to GPs etc - wooden tray type jigsaws, shape sorter ,chunky toy cars - toys that will become age appropriate in the next 9 months (before Christmas).
