It's intermittently scrabbling. Could it be a bird, a rat? Who shall I call? I daren't open it in case it runs or flies at me.

Presume it's not lit????

SundayNightRoast · 06/12/2016 20:44

It'll be a bird. Open the door and let it out. Then catch it and let it out of the window.

Or, let it out then open the windows and curtains in the room, and leave it overnight - in the morning it will find its way out of the open windows.

We had 2 sparrows fall into the stove the other night after it was lit. DS2 spotted them and we let them out. They were fine! Told the DCs they were phoenixes :)

Get a plastic box and capture it

Corialanusburt · 06/12/2016 20:46

Thanks Sunday. I can't face opening it to look though. 🐤😒

Open windows and close doors. Open woodburner. Watch as stupid sparrow flies out. Repeat a billion times.

TheCrowFromBelow · 06/12/2016 20:54

Open woodburner and quickly runaway from the small creature that is way more distressed than you are right now.

Poor stuck scared thing, let it out!🐀Or🐓

Have you released the beast yet?

Corialanusburt · 06/12/2016 21:55

I opened the French doors and gingerly opened the Woodburner ... And there was nothing there. I can on think that whatever it is/was us trapped somewhere above it so wAiting for a smell in the next few days.
