Urgent about to book a holiday need advice

I am thinking of booking a holiday in a resort called the orchards in clacton.

1. what is claton like?
2. has anybody been there?
3. will there be enough for me and ds to do within reach of the resort (as I dont drive and it will just be me and ds). Help! Thanks
