My dh is thinking of taking the kids to one or both of these tomorrow. So he asked me to ask MN, just how bad are they in half term. Did anyone go today??

Went to the Natural History Museum yesterday and it was very busy, but we still enjoyed it. No idea if it's better or worse during the week though.

I've been several times in school holidays, always very busy but no busier than a regular day on the weekend...Go early is my advice!

You are in with a fighting chance if you go early -

I think most London schools are on half term next week (we are), so it may not be too bad. Otherwise, in my experience, it is the 9th circle of hell - but the DCs enjoy it & get nicely tuckered out (which is the point, no?). DS1 prefers the Science museum, but I'd take your own grub.

Im sure I heard on the news today that london fashion week is being held mon-thur this week at the natural history museum

I had a funny image of models showing off clothes next to enormous dinosuars

Maybe I didnt hear it right though??

Tell him that we all think it is great, whats the other option? They stay at home with you and say they are fed up. They wont care how busy it is, just that they are spending time with DH. Enjoy.

crunchie · 12/02/2007 20:33

Hello no the other option is staying home with him, I have to earn a living don't you know He's the SAHD

'Hello' We both have to earn a living in our house and child care is split. Sorry if you took it the wrong way!

So long as the kids are having fun, who cares!

I took DD to the science museum yesterday and we got there at lunchtime and the queue was in the subway leading from the station to the museum, it cleared pretty quickly though.
