Tenancy began in July. Told landlady we would move in in September.

On the day we moved in her son was still putting in the new bathroom.

A chest of drawers and 2 chairs were broken. Took months to get them replaced.

Changing elctricity suppliers was ballsed up because the central register has the wrong address for our metre number.

Landlady was trying to drag us to the council for a court summons issued for council tax from 2002.

Toaster broke (ok ok I know rather insignificant)

Washing machine broke and flooded everything.

Today a HUGE rat ran over my kitchen floor having eaten most of my bread. I now have loads of rat poison down. Bloody students next door now admit to hearing them in the roof for ages but not doing anything about it.

So what next? Cooker, fridge or heating? Or maybe I'll get cockroaches!

Call environmental health. Your flat is not habitable, especially for a young child.

Council has been round (after being yelled at, tried to tell us it would be 2 days). Just being extra careful washing stuff. Tempting to take myself and ds off to parents for a bit though.

I agree with piglit, go and stay with your parents.
