Errr I think it MIGHT be .. my ds had a minor operation there 4years ago (pre congestion charge) and as we had to travel from north essex to there and get there at 7am to prep him we drove (parked @ a supermarket *think it was sainsburys" its only a very short walk but its only 2 hrs and you have to buy something then it gets horrifically expensive.. but then with a sick 10 month old baby public transport wasn't really an option .. anyhoo website says (Hope this helps)>>>>

By car

There are no dedicated car parking facilities for patients or visitors at The Royal London.

Drop of point for patients and visitors:
Inpatients - please use the main front entrance on Whitechapel Road.
Outpatients - please use Stepney Way from New Road.

Congestion charging applies west of Aldgate East tube station. Certain patients/visitors may be exempt. For more information call 0845 90071234 or visit the Transport for London website.

Thanks very much-that's very helpful.

Ds is having an operation there on Thursday morning(also at 7am!)and my parents are driving us there. If they can park, they will or if not they will come back for us.We're also in Essex.
My mum actually has a blue badge so is exempt from the cc,but we had a bit of a row with my FIL the other night as we thought it was in the zone and he said it wasn't.I have a feeling he's right, although we haven't told him so.

Not even going to attempt the tube at rush hour-was bad enough when I had to go up to London for work.

Bubaloo hope all goes well, if getting there pre 7am the sainsburys isn't yet open (unless they've changed itwe were there a long while ago )to a 24 hr one) so we were able to park up there for an hour free whilst taking in all the bags and stuff... its only a couple of min walk from the hospital
