How to dispose of fridge freezer

We now have a dead fridge freezer in our car that the dump won't take due to 'national shortage' of space. As it doesn't work we can't give it to local charity.

Any suggestions for a cheap way to dispose of it other than fly tipping which is now an epidemic round here!

Call the council to collect or advise of a refuse centre which will take them.

DH took his full car load to the tip, & they found a space for it! They said they weren't really supposed to, but just happened to have room. I love these guys!

Seriously - I have lived here >21yy & have never met a crew who are so bloody hard working & generous. One even spotted a gold bracelet I had left in a box of 'stuff', leaned into the skip to fetch it out & then ran after my car to return it!
