I want to buy a subscription to a home magazine for a friend who is just moving in to a new flat which needs a bit of cosmetic work. I buy a few but just thought I'd see which proved to be the most popular. I want it to be a 'realistic' one (i.e. not one that shows huge mansions...).

Thanks

I quite like Period Living for practical tips if it is an old building. Or if it is a modern design, how about Living etc. or Wallpaper? Depends on her style I suppose.

Definitely not "25 beautiful Homes" or whatever, which will show her 9 bedroom barn conversions bought for about 10k once upon a time.....

living ect quite nice

definately living etc. it feels modern and fresh but not too intimidating

Living etc was one I was thinking of - thanks for confirming this !! The flat is neither period nor modern really - sort of 60's (but done in a fake period way rather thanmodernish IYSWIM.... and I mean the building rather than her taste being fake period !)

LOL Cloudhopper - I have a copy of 25 beautiful homes my mum left me ....
