Does any one know of any friendly toddler groups in or around Swindon?

In abbey meads at the church there's a drop in one on a Wednesday morning. It runs from 9:30 to 11:30, but it is a first come first serve basis. Also in the abbey meads school they run several - scallywags on a tuesday/friday, and there are a couple of others the name of which I don't know but there seems to be something in there most days.

I believe there are also some in the haydon centre, and there's also one in the church up there but from what I've heard they're a bit preachy and frowned upon my friend because she wasn't married to her dp.

I live in Nine Elms, west swindon, but do drive so travelling isn't a problem. Need to get out of the house as my 17 month old is getting bored at home, I also have a 4 week old baby and have been stuck in doors feeling rather isolated as it seems quite overwelming at the moment.
Thought a toddler group would be good to get out of the house but when I took my older daughter whos now at school I found it very clicky and unfriendly.

my sister lives in cricklade with her dc's (both under 18 months ) and loves the toddler group there

what about a structured group such as a craft group or music class (everyone is too busy to be cliquey).

I always struggled at toddler groups too

jo jingles run sessions in the same church - and think there's some other music type things in the haydon centre.

I always found that if you're confident then talking to people at snack time is a good time to get known and then build from there.
