We just had a couple come to view our house (with 20 minutes notice ) and they really seemed to like it - mentioned a survey and that they'd be in touch with the estate agents tomorrow!!!!

What do you think??! Need to keep calm (won't be able to concentrate at work tomorrow - will be waiting for the call!).

wishing you the best!

The boys were sooooo good - we were on our way to see dp at work when I got the call about the viewing, so I had to turn around - cue much wailing and crying at not seeing Mummy. But with the promise of ice lollies if they were good and didn't wreck the house/cry/argue, they were brilliant!

at your good boys, Dot! Once, when we were selling our first house, we were expecting a couple to come and view it in 20 minutes time. I was out in the garden and heard peals of laughter from the kitchen. I went in and there were ds1 and ds2 aged 4 and 2, sliding up and down the kitchen on a pool of Ariel liquid that they had poured all over the floor. After trying to mop it up (impossible!) I got every towel in the house, soaked it all up and threw the whole lot in the washing machine just as the doorbell went! Very stressful!

Well I'm and and - just phoned the estate agents to see if the viewers yesterday had contacted them, and they had - and gave really bad feedback! Said the house needed too much work doing to it and they wouldn't consider it even if it was reduced!! Bastards.

Flipping heck - this selling your house thing is really stressful...

That's why I hated doing viewings when we sold our flat (1998) they spout off all sorts of crap & they aren't remotely interested. It's like they feel they HAVE to say good stuff to make you think they like it.

I refused to do the viewings when we sold our house in the UK (last year) as I hate the false ness of viewers, I'd rather not hear their crap & just wait to hear from the EA.

Wish you all the best....just don't listen to them & don't get your hopes up!

I'm soooo gutted... We've had 3 other viewers who I knew weren't interested - they came and went and didn't say much, so I didn't get my hopes up. This couple were so positive - why say stuff when it's a complete lie??

Grrrr....

Feels like we'll never move and yet again won't have a garden for the summer.

It is annoying, I know!

You will sell, but it just a waiting game. Kinda soul destroying!

Dot, probably the people who appear not to be interested are the ones who really are interested. Dh and I have always tried to curb our enthusiasm in front of estate agents in case they start hiking up the prices because they know we're keen!
