I can't believe how 'angry' people are.

In Toy's R Us car park today, DP was reversing into a space when this bloke trying to get out of the car park bumped us. The woman sat next to him mouthed to me, 'fffing idiot' and then locked eyes with me with one of the most mencing, piercing expressions I've ever seen a person produce, actually turing around to keep her eyes locked with mine as her car drove off! I actually thought she was about to get out of the car and knock me out! I wasn't even driving and neither was she!

They should have stopped to sort damage etc, although there wasn't much, but they just drove off. Minutes later, in Toys R us, I was queing at customer services when two ladies turned up and someone came and started serving them. I'd been there first and waited for ages so I said, politely, 'Excuse me, I think I was next, I've been here quite a while' and they just looked at me, aghast and started on me. I just blanked them and got served.

Have I got 'evil cow, please start on me' stamped to my forehead today or are people in general just full of angryness today. Maybe it's Toy's R Us that does it.

Oh, NO, not Toys R Us!

Say no more.

There's the cause right there.

I'd rather pay delivery fees than shop on Saturdays.

Caligula · 03/02/2007 23:38

It's definitely ToysRUs.

Whenever I go in there, I feel seized by a psychopathic rage and I want to start smashing things.

Although tbh, I think that's quite a moderate and reasonable response to the bloody place.

tigertum · 03/02/2007 23:39

Ikea rage is just generally between couples I find. I went around it a while ago and i counted about 5 couples locked in arguments about which colour 'Ektorp' to buy etc.

You obviously haven't met LieselVentouse have you?

tigertum · 03/02/2007 23:43

I felt rather angry when I walked past the Dr Who bit. I don't know why. It was the annoying music I think, but I managed not to start on any passers by.

Yes but god foebid you get caught in the cross fire of one of those ikea couples, pick up the last ektorp and they will turn on you, punh ups in the bargain area and watch out for queue jumpers getting strung up by woman who will be beratting hubby for not taking action first whilst punching the other person in the face.

tigertum · 03/02/2007 23:45

Who's LieselVentouse?

Caligula · 03/02/2007 23:46

They play music which makes kids frenzied and adults murderous.

It should be illegal

GhostOfMumsnet · 03/02/2007 23:46

She is a very calm and patient MNetter who always says the right thing and never winds anyone up...........did I tell you all I got a bump on the head today?

tigertum · 03/02/2007 23:49

lol Skribble

I haven't seen any like that. I just find it really funny when they are so caught up in their argument that they forget there are people everywere that can here everything they are saying. It's when you here things like 'you and your fucking scatter cushion's' that it really tickles me.

Our Ikeas restaurant looks over the loading bay, oh what fun, sitting their watching some young couple trying to fit the entire furnishings for their new flat into a vauxhall corsa.

tigertum · 04/02/2007 00:10

I am actually guilty of having an ENOURMOUS row with DP in Ikea about a new kitchen.
Basically I was saying that if I was recieve some money that may have been on its way at the time. I would most certainly like us spend it on the IKEA kitchen I'd just seen. DP had other ideas. It ended in such a frenzied argument that he walked off with 'I'm going home', leaving me with a toddler on reins and no pusahcair.

y DP isn't the sort of person who would abandon his lady and toddler on foot miles from home and I knew this. Yet, I was so overcome by anger and the desire for vengance that I took the bus home and when he eventually turned up at home with the car, having searched the streets for me, I told himthat I had believed what he had said about going home and walked all the way home carrying poor DS on my hip!

Oh my God, I AM evil! I feel really bad at that!

I bet there is enough hilarious CCTV footage of IKEA like that Skribble - Stupid arguments, accidents, people trying to fit impossible things into tiny cars. You could have a min-series. 'Ikea Uncut' or something. Maybe it would make people behave better! like me.

"What the f*ck is that for?, I don't care if it is only £1.50!"
