Well done ladies

Do you think it was individual complaints or the power of mumsnet.

Whichever it was at least sanity has prevailed.

Having cared for sexually abused children I can say without hesitation that a vacant stare is a classic symptom of abuse.

For the company to state that they "used" family and friends children for this shoot beggars belief.

I don't know how I missed this as edgy, kidult, knowing clothes are a really parpy subject for me. Well done to everyone who complained about this horrible-sounding catalogue

Twiglett · 07/02/2007 15:56

funny thing is when you look at the actual clothes .. they're actually kind-of .. well blah

look at the victorian style dresses

the t-shirts are ok-ish but nothing to write home about

I just hope they don't manage to spin some good publicity out of this

and as parents they ought to be ashamed that there concept of 'edgy' is so detrimental to a child's wellbeing IMHO

I thought more of us complained about this to NAS and to the ASA? The ASA report says they received 1 complaint about all-fours photo, 4 complaints about the girl in car photo and only 3 about the boy. ???

And I didn't think much of NAS response.

But it's good result anyway and I hope NAS have learnt some etiquette for their future ad campaigns

WWWCampbellBlack · 07/02/2007 19:12

I complained, via email and received no response from no added sugar although the ASA did write to me. Only six complaints? Really? Gosh. But this is a good result, well done all.

lulumama · 07/02/2007 19:15

wow ! made the BBC news !

i can;t believe they only had 6 complaints !

well, at least notice has been taken

well done mumsnet !

is it the winter or spring catalogue that had the photos in? we've got a copy of the winter one somewhere i was shocked at them in make up but i don't remember seeing anything provocative. only skimmed through it once though. haven't had the spring one yet.
