I've got to go to Swaffham and its our 10th wedding anniversary coming up, so being resourceful, we'd like to combine the two. Does anyone know a nice pub/hotel in Norfolk (dead romantic) that we could try? It's just for one night! If I don't find one, dh suggests we camp!! So nice campsites in Norfolk ideas would be great too

my ignorance of the geography of norfolk is total, so don't know if this is handy for you The Victoria at Holkham .

Went here with DP for a really romantic new year. It's GORGEOUS.

Have a lovely anniversary. Hth.

Thanks guys - I'm having real trouble finding somewhere because its on 18th June and I've left it too late. I phoned those two and they are fully booked!

Any more ideas gratefully received - happy with small simple pub on Norfolk Coast with basic rooms (probably want an ensuite though!)

The Hoste Arms of Lord Nelson in Burnham Market - a lovely village known as Chelsea-on-sea due the large nos of delis and chi-chi shops. Google them for tel nos.

ok this one is actually in swaffham! Strattons .

try searching on either the guardian or telegraph travel sites - both of those normally have good places to stay in the uk.

The Hoste is lovely. I've stayed there with dh. It's not a five star hotel but it is very trendy nowadays and very comfortable. Do book dinner there well in advance (like now!) - it is EXTREMELY popular and very good. Quite romantic and candlelit etc. It's a lovely village and close to the lovely beaches at Brancaster and Holkham (my favourite). Have fun!

When I say trendy, it isn't trendy to look at or anything, I just mean it has become a fashionable place to go.
