We have booked to have DDs christened on 25th feb as it is also Dhs 30th. Wanted to have a joint celebration afterwards. Now problem is due to only getting the date this thurs we are unable to hire anywhere. PIL have said we can use their house but I dont want tons of people there so we can either..
A. stick to date and just invite very close/necessary people like godparents[would be around 30 people altogether with kids etc]
OR
B. change date to when we can get a hall and invite the other 50 odd people who are friends etc

Meant to add about my nan..she wants to come and is terminal so sooner the better, however in all reality she probably wouldnt be able to get there anyway...there is prob a 1 in 10 chance she will.

Would stick with it tbh. It's Lent soon after, in which I think christenings aren't done (certainly woldn't feel appropriate), and then you'd have to wait till after Easter.
