Jodee I watched HIGNFY too - the only way they could have handled it IMO. I thought he came out of it surprisingly well and have to admit (blushing) that I still fancy him!

I can proudly say I've never watched BB and don't intend to. There's hardly enough time to watch all the decent stuff that's on. HIGNFY was very entertaining.
Did anyone see the double bill of Frasier? I thought it was disappointing, too much of Daphne/Niles and Daphne's family. Though at least they had British actors playing her parents (her mother was Millicent Martin, from That Was the Week That Was)and her awful American actor brother wasn't in it. The Manchester pub scene was hardly convincing though, or lines like "We met at a soccer riot"! I suppose American programme makers don't have to care what British viewers think!

Ffion, what happened at the end of the 2nd Frasier? Have to say i nodded off in the ad break!!

Can't bear Jade she's extremely irritating, Helen without any of the endearing qualities. Spencer needs his Mum he's scared to death. Did anyone notice Alex complaining that the WTC crash ruined his modelling chances in his video. Hello, how self-centred and shallow did he come across?? He seems a bit better in real life. Having watched some E4 coverage today (in the name of scientific research of course) I think it's going to be interesting watching this year....

Fionn, it's obvious the producers don't care what the Brits think about Frasier..having a 3rd rate actress as a pretend northerner, I can hardly bear to look/listen when I accidentally flick over the channels and it's on!

Batey - the end was daft. Daphne's parents didn't get back together, he went back to Manchester and she decided to stay in the US. Daphne decided she adored Niles so much after he'd gone to so much trouble to try to reunite her parents for her sake, that she decided she wanted to marry him right away, so the final scene was them rushing out of his apartment presumably for a quickie secret wedding.

Yes Bea - Alison VERY much like Dawn. Luke says hi. Said lots of very pretentious people at his interview, jumping around and saying they were'nt as thin as they'd like to be........ he said he was a bit too 'normal' and laid back - consequently they didn't want to know. Seems like they've picked such differing personalities - ones bound to rub each other up the wrong way........Jade and Sandy (kilt man) too close for more than a day or so........fur will fly.

I have watched a few minutes on E4 today also, again purely for research for Mumsnet, and I get the feeling that Sandy thinks it was the worst decision he ever made to go in there. He couldnt stop walking around looking completely phased by the chat whilst the others were sitting around. He seems to be doing all the work - feeding chickens, washing up, making bread. Although dh says the only way you could possibly survive in there was to keep busy. Thought I had perhaps got Jade wrong for about five minutes earlier cos she was quiet, but it didnt last long! OUT! OK, I admit what you already think, I AM sad.

'How not to get into BB3' - They said they didn't want any : singing, stripping, wannabes or people who only want the money. What a joke! The model said on his application video that he applied because his career had dried up (i.e. BB3 will restart it). The bodybuilder did a striptease. One of the girls did a rap/song, and one of the contestants (PJ?) admitted that the money would be nice. According to the programme makers, these application videos should have gone straight in the bin.

Having said that, most of the people seem alright. Not sure about the loud one (Jade?) Did you see the looks Katie was giving all the competition?! Could be another Mel in the making. My husband likes her already!

Watched it last night. Sunita, Spencer and Jonny were the only ones bothering to stay up late to chat. Judging by the amount of eye contact between Sunita and Spencer, it was plain to see that they both wanted Jonny to go to bed so that they could maybe get to know each other a little better!!!

No Cherry, you didn't miss much last night, unless it got better. The model made some packet noodles, while Sandy stood around like a lost soul. The others were singing their hearts out, and C4 kept blanking out the noise 'for legal reasons'. My dh and I switched off after 15 mins of live broadcast, but will watch the edited highlights tonight. Can't wait. Hope the Geordie commentator is still on the programme...sexy voice!

Oh, Jane Leeves is truly terrible, an embarassment to listen to. In fact, Frasier's dad is either really English or had spent time in England - can't remember which.

Was hooked on BB1 and thought BB2 would be rubbish but I LOVED every minute of it, even more than BB1, and was so entertained by Brian et al. Have to say I'm very disappointed so far with BB3. Liked the look of Alison from her video but knowing how thin, posey and strippy-offy everyone usually gets in the house I get the feeling she'll feel very left out. Also like Sandy (the most) but agree he doesn't look a happy bunny. The conversations have been BORING so far (and I can usually eavesdrop on the dullest yakking with great relish). I'll give it a week before I decide whether to give 2 monkeys, but can't say I'm enthralled so far...

I agree, SuzanneM, it was more than a bit dull last night. I can't believe how long I spent watching someone cook noodles - I find myself cooking noodles boring enough, also Sandy in bed flicking through a catalogue, well, ditto! After a long empty garden scene with no sound, I gave up and went to bed.
I'm hoping it will pick up as it certainly wasn't worth staying up for.
I don't want to pick on people I don't know but so far Jade has annoyed me!

Like Spencer (isn't he sweet???), Alex, Kate, Alison and Sunita seems Ok to me although I haven't seen all of it.

Watched the second half of the first series (I too was trying to be all intellectual and not watch, but failed ) didn't see the second series as I was bored by then....But I am planning to watch this series...as long as they get rid of Jade...
