If you knew that someone was spreading malicious gossip about your friend would you tell them? (This gossip is potentially really hurtful as it claims that my friends husband was spotted on a dating site).

Yes.

Her partner told my husband the gossip at a kids party. This woman seems to have all the mum's fooled into thinking she's a really nice person - I know differently. My worry is that if I tell my friend that this is being spread around, she'd be so upset and it could cause issues between her and her husband.
