I made my own 'didymos' (long piece of nice soft cotton) and love that but also I have a bush baby cocoon which is better for if I need to take him on/off a lot (shopping!) as the baby part clips on to the shoulders bit separately - and it's almost as comfortable as the wrap (plus DH can use it)

hth

nope the baby bush cocoon is more of a front carrier. that isn't quite what i'm after... the serach goes on!

I just ordered one of these:

baby sling

Looks pretty handy to me.....

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 16:16

nappyaddict - why didn't you get on with the tricotti? I found it great for between the ages 3-10 months.

belgo · 23/01/2007 16:21

What about the ergo with an infant inset? or the Mei Tai (sp?)?

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 16:26

you can't use the tricotti in a back carrying position can you?

OP posts:
belgo · 23/01/2007 16:28

no you can't. But you can you the mei tai and ergo on you back.

Jessajam · 23/01/2007 16:30

mei tai looks good.
Or the one I have that I can't for the life of me reacll the name of...is just one very long length of fabric you wrap around you in various ways for various positions ( back, front, side, face forwards, face inwards)...um..moby I think

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 16:31

looked at the ergo and mei tai but i want something so ds can still be in the cradle position when he naps. mei tai doesn't offer this at all and at 7 months he is too old for the ergo insert.

if only i could make my own perfect carrier!

OP posts:
Jessajam · 23/01/2007 16:32

moby will do a lying down position

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 16:32

yes we have a wraparound woven one like the one you mention but it isn't very practical for when ds wants to be in and out all the time.

Jessajam · 23/01/2007 16:33

see

belgo · 23/01/2007 16:34

nappy addict - what about a ring sling? I find them quite easy and quick to use, and a smaller baby can lie down in it.

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 16:37

can you get 2 shouldered ones though? i've only ever seen 1 shouldered ones.

I kind of know what you mean nappy addict - but haven't come across it - you might have to design it yourself!

Alternatively, once a wrap sling is on, you can leave it on, and put your ds in and out of it easily.

nappyaddict · 23/01/2007 22:38

even though i'm not interested in the tricotti a friend of mine is but she wants to know what it looks like on from the back. could anyone with one get someone to take a photo and send it to me?
