Calling any techies!! Anyone know how to download music as mp3s and not wmas?

I keep trying to download music to my phone/mp3 player, but when I put CDs onto my PC they come out as WMA files, and won't play on my phone. Does anyone know how to save them from an audio CD into Mp3 format on a PC? (sorry there seems to be an awful lot of capital letters in this post!)

You'll have to look at the program you use to rip the CD audio onto the computer.

If you're using Windows Media Player (like me) go to Tools>Options.

In the options window, click on the Rip Music tab.

In the rip settings bit, the dropdown menu has a list of all the different audio formats WMPlayer will record music in. Mp3 is at the bottom of the list.
