I think it depends on your charger.

It depends on your charger. Our one takes about 8-10hrs

It depends on the charger and the kind of batts I think. I have NiMH (???) batts with their own charger for my camera and they charge in a couple of hours. (At least I think they do - I have spares so I don't stand over them )
