Anyone live in New Zealand?

My sister is going out there on business in July and I wondered if there are any essential buys for my 5 month dd I need her to purchase while she is there.

Bobux shoes (soft leather shoes with elastic around the ankles)
Crocheted slippers. Don't laugh. You can get these from any handicraft shop. Basically they are a sole of sheepskin, wool inside, with crocheted tops, tied on with wool. Old ladies spend hours making them and sell them off in those little touristy places. They are wonderfully warm and hard for the average small person to remove voluntarily.

If she's feeling generous get her to buy you a possum jersey. They are made from a mixture of merino wool and possum fur (possums are a noxious animal, introduced from Australia, eat the wildlife and native plants, so don't feel sorry for them). They are the softest, warmest most wonderful jerseys you will ever have.

I was in NZ in July last year and Pumpkin Patch were having their sale. Get her to check it aout as the opposite seasons means you will probably get some fantastic summer or Autumn clothes really cheaply. Your dd will always grow into anything really wonderful she sees.

lambskin!!!! Superfit part wool stretchy vests and little black short plain welly boots made I think by Skellerup. (baby gumboots) they are soft and such good footwear for littlies!

My sister brought them back. She is over there again now but just for 3 days so hasn't got much retail opportunity this time.
