LOL - you do have a choice, just avoid Clarks. I have found StartRite and Buckle My Shoe are more sensible and have flat shoes in more sizes.

I have same problem for 7.5 yr old with size 2 feet. I absolutely refuse to let her have heels on her school shoes or black winter boots and Clarks had heels on every school pair except one pair (the ones we got her) - wow did she sulk that day. But has never mentioned it since

Your issues will only escalate as your DD gets older !

She's also old enough to wear a crop top, mini skirt and make up... at least that's what some mums seem to think!
You keep her a child as long as you can

well she is forever looking for lipstick to wear!! as if she find one or even vaseline she'll put it on...she must feel all grown up - EEK!!

One day when I was going out to lunch with one of my 'dolly' friends, her dd aged 3 was horrified I was going out without lippy on!

Biglips · 18/01/2007 23:35

I agree about the clothes thing too. DD doesn't get a choice. I buy her clothes and she can mix and match nice sensible stuff as much as she wants. V difficult when buying age 10-11 for a 7yr old

Thats one of my pet hates too.Saleswoman in Clarks didn't get it when she brought out all the size 9 shoes for dd2(age 5) and I said, 'No heel too big' 'No those too' 'No and those'
