The Wiggles have taught my toddler that when somebody is sleeping, you have to shout at them to wake them up.

Especially if they are your baby sister.

Thanks a bunch, chaps.

And especially if they are your parents, if that's any help (which it isn't, I imagine).

You could get the CD (and book, I think) Go to sleep Jeff, where the Wiggles are babysitting Jeff's cousin Little Jeff and have to be very quiet and sing lullabies to get him off to sleep. Methinks it was probably produced in response to a wave of complaints like this one...

My theory is that this little catchphrase developed before the Wiggles had children of their own... but even I have enough of a life not to have time to check whether my theory is correct.

Jeff had to move house cos some local teenagers found out where he lived, and would shout "wake up Jeff" at 2.30 am

You can see that as justice if you like!

I couldn't stand the Wiggles at first, but they've grown on me. I have to confess to a small lump in my throat when Greg handed over the yellow jersey.

My friend's DS is convinced my DH IS Jeff (I guess there are similarities)

My DD's do this to me too.

They also say 1,2,3 come out poo when on the loo!

dd1 insisted for months that Captain Feathersword was Daddy. We laughed merrily.

Then I saw a picture of him without his hat and eyepatch, and she's right, he really does look just like DH.

I haven't broken the news to DH yet. I think he thinks Capt FS is a bit of a twit so I guess he won't be all that thrilled.....

You will have to get him a pirate outfit and let him guess why!

i hate wiggles more than marmite and thought about getting counselling when i started having dreams about them! dd loves them and will happily spend the entire day watching them thank you ntl for sticking them on demand!!! she also finds it funny to shout wake up ... to whoever is sleeping however i used this to my advantage on new years day when dp had the biggest hangover and we had rowed the night before!!
