Does it have a knitting area, Twigg?

Oati · 16/01/2007 16:08

Actually Twigglletters, you must have a giant staircase to get that lot under it

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 16:35

sounds like a great idea but if we did it we'd have nowhere to keep the wine...

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 17:47

not a problem .. wine rack in the kitchen .. .. and with my friends' appetites who has enough for overspill?

Oati · 16/01/2007 17:48

ony 8 more weeks to go Twiggerrs

you had better take up knitting or something

paulaplumpbottom · 16/01/2007 18:02

You'll never use the wine cooler

Oati · 16/01/2007 18:04

waht makes you say that Paula?

Oati · 16/01/2007 18:05

we're thinking of something like this

paulaplumpbottom · 16/01/2007 18:07

I bought one and its not good for champagne and hwite wine to be chilled for long periods of time, so it only has about 2 bottles in it at any given time. The only exception is when we are entertaining, which granted is often, it wasn't worth what we paid for it.Maybe you entertain more.

Twiglett · 16/01/2007 18:07

'snice .. could be a little bit wine barish perchance? .. oh and will you have that much wine in the house

I find it difficult to keep 10 bottles on the go at a time .. and as we stock up in france we go from a few dozen to 0

OP posts:
Oati · 16/01/2007 18:10

it's only 36 bottles Twig. ( current rack holds 32 bottles - only 14 in it a the mo though)

paulaplumpbottom · 16/01/2007 18:12

How long have they been there?

Oati · 16/01/2007 18:13

about a couple of weeks I think - we have bought since Xmas

ahem I think cootchie means something quite rude in US .. be verrry careful

OP posts:
Twiglett · 16/01/2007 18:40

brings a whole new meaning to the phrase "just chuck it in the cootchie and shut the door b4fore anything falls out" though

I was talking to an estate agent when selling our house and he told me about an elderly lady client who, when talking about her understairs cupboard, said "Let me show you my glory hole..." Bless.

Oati · 16/01/2007 18:58

LOL Soupy - my mum uses that expression in all innocence too
