Not heard of the company but have you tried the telephone protection service (type it in google and it comes up)? Its free and they stop (nearly) all nuisance calls within a month or so. I registered and have only had a couple of calls from randomn companies since.

you can write and ask to be taken off the database for cold callers. We did it when we lived in Cornwall, and it helped for a while... think it's in the BT phone book. HTH

otherwise, just ask them if you can have their home number and call them when it's convenient?

good luck

Or as soon as they identify they're from Toucan blow a whistle VERY LOUDLY down the phone and hang up

Register with the Telephone Preference Service - you can do it online. It takes a few weeks before the calls stop, but once you've registered you can tell callers that you are registered, and you will report them if they continue to call you.

It only works if the callers are in this country though; they can't stop international calls.

sorry, i meant telephone preference not protection (what wigwambam said)

They certainly don't sound like they are ringing from Britain, takes a few seconds for the call to connect then the caller has a strong accent but a very British name. So don't know if I can stop them.

I just read recently that Toucan had been fined for this sort of thing.

I can't believe they actually do any business this way.
