Milk spilt on mattress. BLEURGH, the smell!

DD spilt her full beaker of milk all over our bed a couple of days ago. Dh tried to wipe it but it all soaked in and now the mattress stinks to high heaven. Top tips needed from domestic goddesses, please! Just what you need for a good night's sleep - rancid milk wafting around!

i can answer this one - got brill advise about same thing on here

bicarbonate of soda mixed into a paste with water
smear on - let it dry and hoover up!!!

dinny, as the milk soaked in you may need to make a beaker-full of a thin solution of bicarb and let that soak in too (and don't worry too much about hoovering it up!) Bicarb does an astonishing job of absorbing nasty niffs.

Do not try Neutradol whatever you do, the smell alone makes me feel ill.
