Oh you'll be glad yu did them when you are done.

WideWebWitch · 10/01/2007 20:10

I don't do them. I say thank you at the time and make the children do the same. I think it's perfectly acceptable and is considered so by most people.

Liberate yourself. (are you TC btw? if so was wondering where you were,wb!)

funnypeculiar · 10/01/2007 20:11

oh b*gger - still have loads of these to do - had been looking the other way & hoping they'd disappear...

paulaplumpbottom · 10/01/2007 20:14

I do have to say I think Thank you notes are important. I will say though that my DD does not have to do them for close family like her grandparents. Would it cut out some of the work if you did that?

Hulababy · 10/01/2007 20:17

Do a generic thank you for our presents. Get the 5 year old to draw a picture on a sheet of paper. Stick on the letters for Thank You at the top. Add Love from...DD1 (she can do her own name if able) and DD2 xxx

Photocopy!

If you really want to personalise, add a sentence on the back yourself.

Thats a great idea! I'm going to use that.

PanicPants · 10/01/2007 20:21

I did photo of ds (16 months) on christmas morning with his pile of pressies, with a 'thank you'. And typed something along the lines of 'I had a wonderful christmas and had lots of fantastic presents. My favourite one was ..............!!'(insert appropriate gift)

Easy.

hana · 10/01/2007 20:22

dd1 did a picture for her 5th birthday which I photocopied for everyone, she put on a few stickers to each one and it was done. I had the most work addressing the envelopes

or the digital pictured is a good one, snapfish are doing up to 50 prints for 1p each if that's any help, discount code is PENNY, and they only take a day or two to arrive

I've combined dd2's birthday (29) with Christmas thankyous, it was all going to be a bit much otherwise....!

glad you got the dolly blanket for your dd , meant to say but then lost the email

paulaplumpbottom · 10/01/2007 20:29

You guys have such great ideas. I feel like an amateur getting my DD to draw a picture.

hana · 10/01/2007 20:31

dd1 and dd3 are a day apart as well - 5 years plus the day

TeeCee · 10/01/2007 20:40

Ours are all done. For those that like things done properly it is said if you don't send thank yous within two weeks, don't bother.

TeeCee · 10/01/2007 21:14
