Anyone in Newark, Notts? We are moving there soon...

I have a 3 y0 DS and 14 mo old DD and we're moving in June from London. What's Newark like to live in with children? Also (having already posted a question about kitchens) wonder if anyone knows of a good builder, plumber and kitchen fitter in that area! Any recommendations gratefully received. Thanks, Laa

I am moving to Sleaford soon and thats 35 mins from Newark, I will be going there as Newark has a Waitrose!!!!!
I am currently in Hants
I have 10yo ds and 19mth old dd
I do not know much about Newark, think it is like many place, it has the good the bad and the ugly too!
Enjoy the move!!!

I grew up in a village about 8 miles away. Some lovely countryside, nice enough shops for a small town, great ruined castle for the kids to explore (it's all safe) and you can do boat trips on the canal.
