Anyone want to put forward their lovely builder in Surrey/South East for Loft conversion?

Ive saved up, talked to the bank and already to go.
Anyone happy to recommend a builder /company you've used.
Quite excited - planning a luvverly bedroom and ensuite for me and DH!!!!!

We used Top Flight based in Ealing but they were quite expensive. However the finished result was good quality. We had a problems with project manager but they changed him so we had someone else in the end. They did seem to use sub contractors a lot. No complaints apart from the guy they used for the electrics. They had to send someone else to rectify his errors.

I think with hindsigth I would probably use a builder if I was going to do it again.... probably cheaper!

We got 3/4 quotes from different loft co and then went to look at some examples of their work. It was amazing the differenc in quality we noticed.... May be wiorth doing that, as it costs you nothing but a couple of hours with their representative and then another hour to visit a house they have converted.

yes i think I'll do that. Would be good to get ideas too.

It gives you a good idea of what you will and won't get! Also look closely at the finsih like the plaster and how doors etc are staight....

LOL - a bit of hassle mid way through but end result was good!
