For my useless brother who never has enough money in one go to tax his car on time! Is there a way you can pay it monthly or weekly?
Thanks

Yes you can buy stamps at the post office and then use it as part or full payment.

No, I don't think so -- you can pay six-monthly but not more often that AFAIK.

Oops, I was wrong. That's interesting to know, thanks Heavenis

I didn't know that until recently. Going to try and get some so we can pay for a years tax instead of 6 months,as car tax due May and November otherwise.

I think the PO have stopped doing car tax stamps...

Makes more sense to open a savings account (or use an existing one) and put 1/6 of the amount in every month - that way you do get a bit of interest on the money

Just checked Post office web and the stamps you can buy are a general saving stamp, which can be used to pay for gas, elec etc. (Would do a link but I can never get them to work)
