Every night at about 3am my DH and I have started hearing SQUEAKING coming from somewhere very close to the bed. Maybe under the floorboards. Do mice actually SQUEAK? Does it mean there's a NEST nearby? I am 41 wks pg and this is not what we need right now!! Have seen nothing up there, though did have mice downstairs that I thought we'd got rid of. Have been awake most of the night because of this. Am scared (and tired).

ring your local council ours come out and its a small amount £20 i think it was last time. if you are a council tenant its free.we have the sonic plug in things but we still get them.we live in a terrace house and they run under one house to the other.trouble is our neighbour dosent care about them.she hasnt got any children.
they do smell if the die under the floor boards.also there is never only one.good luck i hate the things.

Rats do blummin well squeak!!! They also make an awful cat growling kind of noise. Put the fear of god into me!!!!!!!!

Without scaring the crap out of you. A couple of weeks ago I heard a scratching in a cavity wall in our dining room. When I moved closer to it a big nose and 2 bottom teeth stuck through a gap between the wall and skirting board.

I recommend the 'Rentokil' bait boxes. We got ours from Homebase.
Self contained poison unit like this
Kills the rotters so quickly, they are usually either dead in box or within a few feet of it

Hope you get rid of them

get rid of this lot and if it's an ongoing problem, seriously, get a cat.

I have a useless cat from the RSPCA but the smell and sight is enough to have kept them out. I've only had one mouse in since I got the cat

So @MardyMum how did you get rid of them? I am having the same exact problem except I am not pg lol but I would really love to know the solution.
