No, I just kind of speculated on her accent.... am off now to drink some miso soup

Shut up, Brandy .

I hope I didn't offend Ticky, b/c I do find miso soup yucky .

Did you find some stuffing for your dolls then, Ticky?

Hope so!

expatinscotland · 18/12/2006 11:19

Expat still has the same accent she's always had!

TooTickyDoves · 18/12/2006 11:28

Ah, but I'd always imagined you sounding quite Scottish until you started talking about restrooms....
Yup, I have found some alpaca wool locally which is working beautifully, plus we have been invited to see the baby alpacas in the spring

Oooo, I love alpacas! And llamas.

My children are very Scots. DD1 has a strong Edinburgh accent already, which is hard for me to resist as to me her voice sounds like as song.

DH has a beautiful voice! Flirty types in his work who speak to him on the phone tell him often enough.

TooTickyDoves · 18/12/2006 11:38

Accents fascinate me. Mine is dull beyond belief.
I have a friend who moved to Edinburgh - I'd love to visit but omg the train fares are crippling! I'd love to explore Scotland...

I like Southern US ones, too. Well, that's where I am from. Ever hear Matthew McConaughey say 'clothes'. Mmmmm. I want him to take his off whenever he speaks.

TooTickyDoves · 18/12/2006 12:01

Ooh, To Kill a Mockingbird territory? I LOVE that book!

They have a beautiful accent, Alabama folk. DH says I have a Southern accent, too, but I cannot hear it. It just sounds like me to me .

DD1 has Scots accent, though, b/c I am the only she hears who sounds different, and DH stays home w/her during the day when she is not in nursery. It goes to follow she speaks like what she hears.

If she goes to the US, though, we will have to beat the men off her, b/c they are mad for a Scottish accent.

"arf at sonmeone offending expat "

Snort! The first thing that went through my mind was "what the hell can someone have said to offend Expat??!!"
