Just curious on this week's run up to Christmas. Which if the online grocerery shops actually keep to their time, and have the least substitutes?

I had a Sainsburys delivery this morning - arrived at 1 minute to 9am, so now vouvher for me. Has 3 substitutes, all acceptable.

I have another shop coming on Friday, between 11 and 12. This is actually just my normally weekly shop with some extra Christmas bits thrown in.

Anyone have any deliveries yet? How did they go?

I have an 11-12 slot with Sainsburys today. Fingers crossed.

I had an Ocado one on Wednesday night - it was all fine. Would have preferred it a few days later but they were booked up.

I have a 10-12 slot with Tesco for today. I was going to take a walk to the shop for a paper, but knowing my luck they would appear at 10. however, now i have decided to wait in they won't appear till 12.
Will come back and let you know how i got on

Sunday morning? Who with?

This is Sainsburys last delivery day. I went online just before 8am on the day they became available, 3 weeks ago, and earliest available slot was 11-12!

I've got Sainsbury's coming 8-10pm tonight, the last possible slot. I think Ocado was delivering tomorrow (Batters has got a delivery coming). Not looking forward to the substitutions...but looking forward to the Cadbury's Snaps that were on special offer

dmo · 22/12/2006 10:55

Had a Tesco 4pm - 6pm slot yesterday. Arrived at 6.45pm but only 3 substitutions and only 1 item unavaliable - King Prawns, were half price but didn't really know what I was going to do with them anyway. Overall I am very pleased, was expecting to have to go to shops.

hulababy · 22/12/2006 11:14

Sainsburys have been :D The substitutes are all fine and normal. Only thing I haven't got is the crispy duck that DD had asked to have on Christmas Day tea, but not a problem.

Phew!

puppydavies · 22/12/2006 11:26

i was too late to get a decent sainsbury's slot - had mine since tues, but meat and veg come from market/box anyway. they came 2 hours early! but called to check first. couple of decent subs but no goose fat is my special treat for when i want perfect roasties but dh found some in the branch in town anyway

santasaltire · 22/12/2006 11:33

30 mins to go and no sign yet!

dmo · 22/12/2006 12:41

mine came at 11.30am
all put away
organised at last

bournemouthbaublebabe · 22/12/2006 12:47

Tesco were bang on time on Weds, only substituted loo roll which was good. I just wish I had booked my slot earlier and got it for today or tomorrow, as I've still got to go and get veg/salad stuff.

KTreePee · 22/12/2006 13:19

My ocado one arrived about 30 minutes early! I also need to go out again myself at the weekend, but only to M&S and the market - couldn't face the supermarket...

KTreePee · 22/12/2006 13:19

Oh and only one substitution and one not available - neither of which were for Christmas anyway....

happystory · 22/12/2006 13:51

Tesco booked for between 9 and 11, came at 10.30, no substitutions

SHHHHsantahasbeen · 26/12/2006 12:37

Tesco booked on monday and friday for 8pm-10pm. Arrived both times at 7.45pm .

Substitutions but nowt major.

NOELallie · 27/12/2006 13:14

Well mine arrived 2 days early! I booked it for 21st because I wanted a fresh turkey. Site went down as I was amending the order - order disappeared!! I rang helpline and they reinstated it but had to do it for 19th as 21st was full. He insisted that he'd contact the store and tell them to ensure they'd deliver on 21st as I wanted with turkey. 12.10 on Tuesday there was a knock on the door ....and there was Mr Sainsbury. Rang helpline and they were very nice - gave me £15 voucher to use. Got a fresh turkey from the butchers - was more expensive but very nice.
