Just wondering really! I think dh and I fit more in the middle really, but I don't feel I could fault that sporty outdoorsy family on anything - but living in terraced suburbia surely must have an effect - if you lived somewhere as beautiful as devon, surely that would help dictate what you were doing?

I walked much more when I lived nearer civilisation! It's constantly muddy here in the winter and there's nowhere I can actually walk to although there's tons of lovely countryside, so I go everywhere in the car. Also country lanes are far too narrow for the children to ride bikes safely/ too bumpy for scooters so we tend to load them on the car and head to the town with cycle routes and parks. Also about 10 miles to nearest pool. Of course I could just be very lazy and I know I'm a townie at heart but I find winters in the countryside thoroughly depressing.
