Is it possible to make poppers popper up better?

Ds has some fab cotton traders dungarees - but every time I pick him up they unpopper themselves and he ends up wearing a long dress!! Anything I can do to make the poppers stay done up?

this happened with a few pairs of overalls with my own children _ I sewed up the legs so even if poppers came undone the jeans would stay put

Ah, I was hoping to avoid doing that! Ds is still in nappies so that would be a nuisance. I may end up doing that if there's no alternative though; they are such lovely dungarees it would seem a shame not to use them.

I too had this problem but I ended up sewing the legs up too.

Anyone else any ideas? Or will I have to get the needle and thread out? (Might take ds out of them first though )

try changing the poppers first. buy some cheap ones and sew them on.
