noggin the nog and other books

my dh has asked my to ask for what age group the "Noggin the Nog" stories are suitable. i would also be very grateful for any suggestions on appropriate books for 12 - 18m.

ds's faves at the moment are 'little goal' a Colin McNaughton board book and all the Maisy flap board books. We've also got 'My first Mr. Men books' very basic board version of the Mr. Men stories.
Also buggy board books - weve got several different ones that clip onto the pushchair and are quite cheap.

i've made some homemade books too using those plastic presentation wallets (from work) with pictures and photos stuck in. ds enjoys looking at himself, our street etc. and cant tear the plastic.

Bossykate, agree with Pamina's dh's assessment of the "real" Noggin the Nog books. Did you know you can get videos as well? I posted a link somewhere on here, a quick search of the board should find it. It's a mad fan in Liverpool and the site is called Dragons' Friendly Society. He was really helpful.
DS loved Maisy, both flap and story books, and also really enjoyed the Dorling Kindersley giant Word Book with flaps. It bears the scars of being well-loved.
Peepo and Each Peach Pear Plum (Janet and Allan Ahlberg) were favourites for being read aloud, and are still occasionally requested at 3.
Shirley Hughes' pictures were also popular. Not Alfie and Annie Rose, but there are some books aimed at younger children.
