please can someone tell me the law around how long full pay is when on sick leave

if you could

depends on your company's policy I think. Don't think there's any requirement to pay sick pay at all beyond SSP which is paid by Govt after 3 days.

i know we get full pay for a while but i'm not sure

Mrs Wobble is right - sick pay only at SSP unless employer's policies are more generous.

IME though, most pay full sick pay for 6months.

I saw your thread re valuation - it is a bugger - once lost a fortune on a house purchase that fell through and got stung for valuation fees, solicitors costs, search costs etc. And all because the guy selling the house was a lying flipping toad and we found him out just as we were about to exchange[grrrrr]
