Can anyone explain what a Home Office personal/project license is? It has something to do with working at a university possibly? Where do you get one or apply for one?

It's a bit sensitive - it's to do with animal research. Check out scienceandresearch.homeoffice.gov.uk/animal-research/aboutus/

It's a long process (many months), but most employers (generally universities) who need you to have one would pay for the training etc.

Thanks, dh is applying for a lecturer position at a university in UK so that was listed as one of the essentials on the person specification list. Here in Germany it is abit different.
