Not 9 but my just 5 year old is a shocking flirt and has many boyfriends and informed me yesterday that she is 'in love'. This doesn't bode well at all

I on the other hand had a 13yr old boyf very briefly when I was 9

And that was before sex was even invented

At that age I was too busy worrying about school and tonka toys to care about boys

One of my nieces is the same, aged 9. Has always been 'into' boys, though - when she was little she would constantly make eyes at waiters in restaurants and stuff like that.

Is it innocent, or a bit too like those girls in Sex and the City who were completely sexualised aged 13?

It is worrying..it can lead on to being up top park/red rec wherever with lads with vodka at 11 or 12

I had a boyfriend when I was 9. He used to buy me little boxes of chocolate that me and my mates used to scoff - I forgot about him for a week and he got a bit upset. I wouldn't even talk to him, God when I was 9 boys smelled of wee.

In the spirit of revenge, I have been blessed with sons, so I can watch them dash their hopes against someone as blase as I wqas!
