bumping - because I really want some of the fabric too - and does anyone have any idea where to get hot pink leg warmers that would fit a 5 year old?

MrsBadger · 01/12/2006 11:35

no joy I'm afraid - I think furnishing fabric would be your best bet to get that really wide stripe, or buy cheap curtains like these to cut up.
Or if you used a pattern for a panelled dress you could cut alternate pieces out of pink and purple fabric - or even sew strips of pink and purple fabric together to make up the pattern pieces for a simple straight dress?

TheHockeyandtheIvy · 01/12/2006 13:04

thanks for that MrsBadger - but I'm useless at that kind of sewing work!!!! That curtain fabric looks about right though, but its dry clean only!

I might just put her in a pink top, pink skirt white tights trainers and the wig and hairband set she's getting for christmas from argos.

Does anyone have any idea about the pink legwarmers to go with it?

JackieNoHoHo · 01/12/2006 13:06

Bit pale, maybe, but Adams have some?

MrsBadger · 01/12/2006 14:52

I thought Stephanie wore pink socks over her white tights... (long pinks socks scrunched down would look like legwarmers anyway)

corrina28 · 01/12/2006 16:13

this is the closest material i can find

PortAndLemonaid · 01/12/2006 16:14

Maybe fabric paint on pale pink material?

TheHockeyandtheIvy · 01/12/2006 19:21

ooh thanks for that - those legwarmers are great and I dont think she'll notice they are not exactly the same pink.

I hadn't thought of fabric paint stripes on a pink dress either, now that is do-able!!

TheHockeyandtheIvy · 01/12/2006 19:25

Right so does anyone know where I can get a really cheap pink dress or really long t-shirt that I can customise with fabric paint?

Don't ask for much me!!!
