Hash Browns.

I used to walk past the revolting cooked breakfast counter every morning at boarding school and say "Hash Browns - they're not brown and there's no hash in 'em". Oh, how the kitchen staff loved hearing the same crap joke every morning for five years

WideWebWitch · 30/11/2006 20:31

bubble and squeak. Not that you can buy it since it's leftovers, fried. Always used to piss me off as a child, trying to dress up something disgusting to make it sound all attractive and noisy and cheerful when it was just vile fried cabbage and potato.

zippitippitoes · 30/11/2006 20:32

you can buy bubble and squeak in tesco

ROFL laughing at the thought of www getting all excited at possiblity of a cartoon-style character-filled meal and getting re-fried cabbage. for the record i felt similarly cheated as a child when the Bullseye credits rolled. i thought i was in for a brilliant cartoon show featuring a darts-playing bovine and it was a poxy quiz show.

someone might be expecting a handsome ploughman to be involved and be very disappointed at only getting cheese and pickle...
