car seat question about britax club class extra

DS is 6 months. he weighs 8.5 kg and is really outgrowing his graco infant carseat. we also have a britax club class extra carseat. it fits both front and rear facing and is suitable from birth to about 4 years. we would prefer DS to be rear facing, but can we fit him in the passenger seat rear facing with the britax or does he have to go in the back? there is no airbag on the passenger side.

Back, I would. It's too big for a front seat isn't it? I've still got one of these and it would be enormous in the front. No idea what the law is though.

it's in the loft at the moment, so i don't quite remember how big it is.

We have that seat, and used it in the front rearfacing, aswell as in the back....and it was fine...as long as it fits properly in the front, and there is no airbag, there is no reason why it shouldn't be in the front!

ooops....git a bit confused there, lol...we had the club class for es...can't remember now if we used it in the front! And have the new version, the first class now...but they are similar size!

went to mothercare the other day for a car seat for my niece who is 7 mths old
they cant go in a forward facing seat until they can support their own head properly
niece has cp so cant even sit up so we have to get a rear facing seat but she hates anything touthing her feet so is upset the whole car journey cause her feet touch the seats (she cant cry)
i would prob put car seat in the rear of the car
