Does anyone do Reiki or had Reiki done for healing?

Wasn't sure where to post this, but I'd really appreciate any advice/experiences of people who know about Reiki. I've recently suffered Acquired Profound Hearing Loss which the doctors are at an absolute loss to explain. I have another thread here here which describes it in more detail.

Anyway my I've decided to try an alternative approach and have 1 hour 15 min session tomorrow with my partner's friend. She has been sending me distant healing for the past week, but I guess I'm a little apprehensive as I don't know what to expect from the session.

Can anyone advise what will happen?

Oh, is it that weird? God I'm frightening myself now!

From what I have experienced from reiki it gives you a very relaxed feeling after the session. I am no expert so no idea if you can have a negative or difficult time after a session.

You might want to post this in the Spiritual Board (religion etc) you will get more responses there.

All the best to you and I hoe some solution soon opens up for you. Just went to the doctor this morning for my dd who has an ear infection and he told me to put a cooked onion next to her ear!
