Could you put together an outfit from home or would you hire an outfit?
We are going to one in a couple of weeks and not sure what to do as yet.

Raid the carity shops...there are some bargains to be had And yeah the whole Rock'n Roll theme is easy enough to create, I think...

I have a few at home. You could borrow one if you like.

Email me on lovelymarslady at aol dot com with your dress size and I'll let you know if I have anything.

Waist size and boob size please as 1950s women were clearly underfed!

Marslady that is so kind of you.
I'm going to be okay now though thanks. Just been to visit a lady who runs a fancy dress business from home and have got a lovely outfit sorted out.
Black short sleeved top, a black bit collared blouse to go over top, red and black scarf to tye around my neck. Also have a beautiful red skirt with loads of petticoats underneath to make it's shape. The skirt has black notes sewn on and a picture of Betty Boop on it.
Just need to get myself a cheap pair of flat shoes and some white ankle socks now.

You're welcome

oh, sounds really good! Flat shoes shouldn't be to much of a hassle to get hold off as they seem to be in fashion!
