NO! Oxford street with a child? 4 weeks before Christmas? Are you mad?
CG much better, also always liked High St Ken - not nearly as busy, nice shops - chain & boutiques, nice cafes to rest in.

Sloane St also very nice for shopping, lots of high street stores and unusual boutiques and all along the Kings Road.

easy to get to - one stop to westminster then change to circle line

brimfull · 23/11/2006 18:12

does it have a top shop?

Covent Garden is lovely and very young person friendly, I find. Second the Kings Rd for interesting shops, too.

go early and head for the huge oxford st topshop, you can then head to the palladium, then carnaby st and that will lead to covent garden.

high st ken is a bit cut off (though it's years since i've been there) i used to love the market and that big new designers shop (what was that called?)

tamum · 23/11/2006 18:18

She's probably like Urban Outfitters . There's one near Top Shop on Oxford St and I think there's one at High St Ken. Loads of bits and pieces in there, I love it even though it's too young.

hana · 23/11/2006 19:21

p;rettu sure there is an urban outfitters in covent garden as well, or a looky likey shop - near the cath kidston store

brimfull · 23/11/2006 20:57

Great, urban outfitters is just her type of store. There is one in Covent Garden so that's us both sorted,Thanks so much for all your ideas,I knew mumsnet would come up trumps!
