just wondered about this as im dark skinned and drk eyed and haired and so expected a baby that looked me aqnd i have a strawberries and cream skin and blond haired baby that looks nothing like me

? am i the only one please tell me im not mad

DH and I have similar colouring

me - blonde, pale with rosy cheeks, green/grey eyes
dh - fair, rosy cheeks, blue eyes

The DSs look like us now - DS1 like DH and DS2 like me but when they were born they had really dark hair - it all fell out and grew in blonde though!

I always expected to have dark brown haired and brown eyed children but my two turned out to have light brown hair and vivid blue eyes.

ds1 has my coloring(fair skin, blond hair, blue eyes) and dd has dh's colouring (darker complexion, brown hair and eyes) So when we were expecting dc3 I was unconciously picturing that if it was a boy it would be like ds, and if it was a girl it would look like dd.

Instead our beautiful baby boy has dh's and dd's colouring I just can't imagine what he will look like as he grows - I still find it hard to picture a little boy with dark hair!

well you couldnt expect more different than what i got! Was told i was expecting a boy, so imagined a boy with dark brown eyes and dark hair. Instead got fair haired GIRL!!! lol

am very fair and did not imagine i would have such a rosy poppet with so much dark hair from birth - the older she gets the more she looks like my late father which is also rather a nice but odd surprise

one of mine was born with a huge mass of fuzzy black hair and blue eyes (blue for months)-just as I had imagined, a year later he had straight blond hair and the brownest eyes!
I am totally amazed that he is blond!

Ds1 and dd are fairly much as I imagined - both ash blonde with big black-brown eyes - they are a more extreme version of me, as I have blonde hair with lighter brown eyes. Ds2 I'm not sure about yet, but he is showing signs of being a more gingery blonde which I hadn't imagined.

They are all more indescribably beautiful than I could possibly have ever imagined.
