DH and I are stumped as to what to get 15mo DS for chrimble - he's already got all the basic toys, stacking pots, jigsaws, musical instruments, loadsof books, shape sorters etc. Any ideas gratefully recieved!

Last Christmas (boys were 22 months) a relative bought the twins these little radios that played different tunes when the button was pressed. They were from Asda. The boys loved them and would dance around to the tunes whilst holding the radios. I would not have thought to buy something like that for them but they enjoyed it and still play with it now.

Ah, he has one of those - it's a Fimbles one and he loves it!

My DS1 got a toy garage at the same age. DS2 is now 15 months and loves playing with it with the cars. He also likes his Fisher Price Little People farm - there are a number of different toys in the range (in fact he's getting the zoo for Christmas - the train also looks good).

DD was 14m last Christmas and we got her the whizz around garage from the ELC, which over the year has been in and out of the toy cupboard a month at a time, but is a firm favourite now.
We also got her a "special" toy box for the living room (just a Winnie the Pooh one from Asda) which was as much for our benefit as hers, but we used it as encouragement for putting her toys away, and she felt v grown up about it all (for a while).
I think now is a nice time start traditions too, we got dd her first snowglobe last Christmas and will probably get her one every year from now on. A bit of a girly gift but something to think about.
Maybe something like a playmat for cars or an aqua draw?
