I cannot believe what i happened in the school playground today....

Well as the title says i cannot believe what happened at the end of school today. Two mums having a full on fight in the school playground surrounded by children on their way home as well as their own children!!
How can people behave like this? and what sort of role models are they to their children?

Oh, she's been asking for it...and today she was like "you looking at me?" and I was like "yeah, and what if I am?" and she was like "come and 'ave a go if you think you're 'ard enough then" and I was like "bovvered?" and she was like "wha-evvvver" and then I was like "you're goin' home in an ambulance..."

I think she came off worse.

Did a teacher have to come and break it up? Did all the other parents gather round and shout "fight, fight"?

Haven't got a clue what it was about, probably looked at each other in the wrong way!
The Male teachers had to come out and break it up. I'm a teacher myself but was the other end of the playground. Some of the children were quite upset.

Will they have to go before the head and apologise to each other?

a regular occurance at a primary near here, one parent turned up with a nail studded baseball bat once.

A fight between two parents is small beer. At a secondary school I used to teach in a mother came into school looking for a girl who had fallen out with her daughter. She found her, knocked her to the floor and proceeded to try to scratch her eyes out. We had to call the police and an ambulance.

That is terrible.

I know of a case where a whole family has turned up at the door of a girl afteran argument in school and they have then beaten her up, we are talking parents and grandparents joining in.

I was reading an article in something today from a head saying he has to "exclude" more parents than children.

What a crazy world we live in eh? I guess what we saw today was only a snap-shot of what can happen!

I've seen 2 fights in the past year at my DC's school. I helped stop one of them (between 2 mums) but the other I decided not to intervene. It was a mum and a dad (not of the same child) and they looked like they would kill anyone that got in the way. The children get really upset when they see this sort of thing, its not fair on them.

Horrid. The head should send a note home to all the parents saying how upset lots of the kids were about the fight. But I don't supopse the culprits would be ashamed in the least.
